whats a jason moment or story that both you and people who don’t like jason agree is out of character (at least from what you’ve seen)

a/ i have a tendency to block blogs that don't vibe with jason, roy, talia, jade, duke, damian. everyone's entitled to their own opinions ofc & im lenient with other characters but not when it comes to these guys. so i really can't speak for what the ppl who don't like jason think on the matter

b/ ppl who don't like jason tend to double down on his ooc moments to make a point so i doubt they & jason likers can be in agreement abt any of the moments i mention but eh. who can tell.

funnily enough with how erratically his character is handled everyone has a different definition of what is in-character & ooc for him [this applies to all comic characters tbh but moreso with characters like jason, given his morals & motives] so when i talk abt the following moments, keep in mind even fellow jason likers might not agree, even mutuals who share a lot of my opinions might not think the same

anyways, moments/storylines i think were ooc for him:-

a/ titans tower incident: with him dying in the robin suit, tortured & alone i really don't think he would like a reenactment of that in any sense. "the point wasn't to attack tim at all tho! it was to send a message abt no more dead robins, hence no more robins at all because the job is inherently dangerous" yes exactly so true bestie & also tim fought back, goaded jason, it also wasn't a one-sided fight, he didn't torture tim, if jason wanted to kill tim really it would have happened without anyone even realising. my point here is that jason simply wouldn't give enough of a fuck to seek out tim & beat him up. even in lost days he was just distraught at bruce moving on & putting another kid in danger. for it to be in-character, to send that kind of message jason would have tied up tim in a warehouse & left him with a fake bomb making sure bruce could reach just in the nick of time... now that is how i believe jason would make a point. not whatever that tt issue had to say. "the robin suit beneath his uniform tho! dramatic king-" shut the fuck up. it was dumb as hell

b/ sasha - now i have pretty much forgotten the finer details of the dickbats era & a reread is due but something that stands out to me is jason letting a kid fight crime with him. i do believe he would support kids who are lonely & terrified & don't know what to do & where to go but i think letting them fight crime would be strictly off limits. being robin pretty much changed the course of his entire life. so yeah. this isn't to say i do not like sasha [i do!] or her relationship with jason & the parallels of her journey to his [i love it!] but i really didn't like seeing them as a crime fighting duo

c/ shooting dami - i think the tim point covers it i suppose... a lot of the btfc era, bib & stuff around that time was really bad jay content all around except whenever winick wrote him

d/ rhato & ctc - never met a jason fan who enjoyed rhato lmao tho for some reason ppl are more casual abt ctc? i wonder why. its just as unreadably bad if not moreso? absurd to see it treated as something that was wasted potential but rhato being consistently flamed without the same consideration... its almost as if theres a mob mentality surrounding it! thats a tangent for another day tho. anyways.

a good chunk of both rhato & ctc were ooc for all characters involved so i suppose that applies to jason too

e/ urban legends & juni ba's depiction of him weren't enjoyable to me personally & i know that's an unpopular opinion lmao its just that those two runs had a pretty major classist undertones which.... ew

I'm Mildew (he/it 25+), welcome to my RP sideblog for Ghetsis from Pokemon. The blog this one leeches off of is @aelirus I wrote Ghetsis for a while in short-form RP back in 2016, and never in long form despite being super invested in him. So, here's where I'll be doing that. I'm a pretty friendly person, I try to write with and befriend a broad range of people... with exceptions for the usual suspects (don't be a pos and dont be a creep. I'm looking at you, people-who-write-nsfw-with-protags.) I can be shy reaching-out first, and maybe tend to talk too much when I think it's okay. Never worry about annoying me or telling me off, I've dealt with it all and I can establish boundaries if needed/respect others' boundaries. Thanks for reading.

Here are rules that are specific to Ghetsis' blog, as he will be played a bit differently than my Cyrus blog (@aelirus):

While Ghetsis is a very interesting character, he lacks the same amount of depth my other muses have. For this reason, he's going to be used more for the purposes of events and conflicts. Don't expect a lot of growth out of him or character arcs (although not entirely off the table in highly select cases.)

As an addition to that rule, I probably will have lower activity with Ghetsis and simply use him when the need arises. (That being said "lower activity" for me is a mystery. Because I love to talk and write.)

As another addition to the first rule, you can absolutely feel free to use Ghetsis as a set piece for events/conflicts. He is the "biggest bad" there is. Thanks to alternate universe fuckery that I subscribe to, I can even allow him to be defeated in a myriad of ways or timelines. I have one condition with this: "Defeating him" needs to have meaning, and make sense. If I feel like he's being pushed around or being underestimated OOC, I will try to nudge things back in the right direction. If that doesn't work, I'll tell you directly in DMs, and I might lose motivation for the idea altogether. Work with me, please. I would much rather your character have an interesting story to tell.

I should probably put this on my Cyrus blog too, but: Ghetsis is a STRATEGIST. He knows Pokémon battling like no one's business, and using Pokémon in general to get what he wants. I, HOWEVER... I haven't fought a single competitive battle in Pokémon. Have mercy on my soul 🙏 (And because of this, I typically subscribe more to non-game-logic battle sequences. Such as discussing generally what we want to take place, and trusting that both sides will make something fun and interesting come of it.)

Number one is pretty simple: If you're an asshole, I don't want you around. If you roll your eyes when someone brings up their experience as bipoc, or at pronouns or neopronouns or real shit going on in the world, get lost.

You can consider this rule 1a: If you delight in annoying people who don't want to see certain things, you're also not welcome. this includes anyone who calls themselves "proship". I'm not here for any of that.

Now the more simple/given rules:

GHETSIS IS AN ASSHOLE. Don't expect to change him without a lot of push back, don't expect him to feel bad for something he does to your muse. This in no way reflects how I, the writer, see you or your character. If you want me to dial something back, tell me!

Blog might be suggestive at times, and usually in joking fashion, but anything explicit will not take place here.

Related, but if I follow a blog whose Mun/Writer is under 18 and interacts with mature posts, I will reach out and warn them or block/unfollow depending on what it is.

Non-RP blogs can absolutely follow and interact with me! I'm chill. But please be mindful of interacting with threads that include other roleplayers, as their stance can be different.

When writing with me, don't assume what my muse will do unless previously discussed. AKA: no godmodding.

Don't be too pushy for responses. I'm an adult, I've got typically low motivation, stuff happens. However, if we both really like an idea and neither of us can get through a whole thread in order to pull it off, we can totally chat in DMs about the scenario and bring it to life that way!

◆  My favorite Strawhat is Sanji.  ◆  Favorite character other than him is probably Doflamingo. I can forgive a blond man anything. ◆  My favorite thing about One Piece is how little regard it has for revenge, and how optimistic it is about people even when they're doing bad stuff. ◆  My most controversial take is that Rosinante was a snitch raised by Marines and it's nuts how many people take the shit he says about Doflamingo at face value, half an arc after seeing how Marines view even pirates who save their lives and fix their mistakes. ◆  I worship at the altar of characterization and I'm a little pretentious about it. I do my very best not to be mean to people with even objectively wrong character takes, but I am a snob at heart. ◆  I do not get the hype on like... 80% of m/m Sanji ships. It seems like a lot of them are just Sanji x Man-Who-Looked-At-Sanji-for-Ten-Minutes-and-Wasn't-Rude. I find any ship with a guy who's not on the crew exceedingly implausible, that man is gonna need MONTHS to sort out being into a guy, guaranteed. I like the gender stuff, I'm not interested in shoving it into a box so he can fuck Gaimon or whoever. ◆  I study the Bible casually for fun. Consequently, I've got a decent number of theories and hc's relating to that. ◆  I get that it makes some people uncomfortable but I like the gender stuff. I find his fucked up relationship with gender fascinating even with all the rough edges. I do not think Fishman Island is ooc and I'm not afraid of the way he acts toward the okama (anime additions excluded). I neither need nor want him to be a perfect ally who knows all the right terms and came back Enlightened™ about himself. I've got a lot of opinions on this tying in with Wano and the Clear-Clear Fruit but they're probably gonna need their own post. ◆  I personally find the transfem hc a little reductive, but I'm glad other people are having fun with it. :) ◆  I want to chat! I'm old and I miss being able to just strike up a conversation online! Talk to me about shit! ◆  At any time, you may send me a "♠️" to receive an opinion I have not posted because I thought it would rock the boat too much. I will not accept these on anon; we enter this pact of hatership together. ◆  For all intents and purposes I am caught up on the manga. The way I got into One Piece is deeply chaotic (started with Whole Cake bc I already knew the entire plot) but there is nothing you can spoil for me. I read the new chapters weekly with my best friend. ◆  Ships I like include Zosan, Shuggy, and whatever the name for Sanji and Pudding is. I think Robin deserves three boyfriends. She's earned it. ◆  I've got pretty firm opinions on sexual orientation for a few of these characters. Zoro with girls, Nami with guys, and Luffy with anyone are all gonna be a no from me, chief. Nothing Personal. ◆  I love a mean girl, I love a morally grey or evil woman. Linlin is worlds more interesting than Kaido, get at me. Pudding has never done anything wrong and she never will. ◆  The way I see it, I'm coming at this from sort of a literary analysis perspective? I'm serious about it as a story. I like the canon, wouldn't be here if I didn't. I think Oda is an amazing writer and I can't wait to see what he does with it. In my opinion, the purpose of fanfic, headcanon, etc. (at least the kind I'm interested in reading) is to weave a thread into the tapestry of canon that makes the whole thing more beautiful.

Herta for some reasons the data about khanos and the patch of chaos canot properly loaded and alwyase glitching reader explains becose of nature of universe and chaos itself no amout of computer power will nevere fully simulate the universe and tells how in nature the power of chaos inherently can't be fully comprehended

Stelle (I use her as my trailblazer becose I like her) well the only thing I can call how they interact will be Dan heng reaction to all of this "there are two of them!?!" But for real reader and stelle never shodul be in one place alone tougheter becose the chaos they will bring will be to much even for other wosipers of khanos.

Bro, you match her energy so much the entire Astral Express is trembling between the chaos you both will and can create anywhere and any place. March 7th is scared, Dan Heng is solely relying on Himeko's coffee to keep his brain cells alive, and the adults are growing imaginary grey hairs. (/j)

You and Stelle are like two peas in a pod. You are like a duo that cannot go anywhere without the other. You two match each other's vibe so much it sometimes comes off as scary. One time, you even finished each other's lines.

So when you tell Stelle that you were a Prophet of Chaos under the Aeon of Chaos themself, she isn't too surprised. After all—she met the gazes of like—two different Aeons already.

"Oh, that's cool—wanna go hunt through trash cans in Belebog with me now?" Is probably the most relaxed person you'll ever meet when it comes to the aeons.

Safe to say, your duties for Chaos will be hyped and amplified greatly with the Amazing Trailblazer Stelle by your side~

This woman, at first, found you as an annoying little twerp that just loves to wreck havoc and cause chaos in her work.

What makes it even more complicated is that, somehow, you got into the good graces of almost everyone on the Space Station despite that nuisance of a personality you have.

You piqued her interest from there, and so she decides to invite you to her office.

Safe to say, you guys along pretty well. The Stimulated Universe also helps, in a way, for you both to bond. With you as a constant player with a chaotic attitude to everything, Herta's also managed to get information about Khaos, the Aeon of Chaos.

When you tell her that your the Prophet of Chaos, her curiosity gets AMPLIFIED. She has to know as much about Khaos and the other Aeons now.

"So what is the Path of Chaos truly like? Surely, you know better than anyone. I'm curious—does Khaos ever look upon mortals when they align with their Principles of Chaos?" Though she asks many questions, your answers were as hard to compute as they were easy to understand.

You were an enigma to Herta, and she loves that about you.

Things like… Imagining herself as a princess, and hoping that a knight would come to whisk her away~ More often than not, however, she hides this notebook away from her peers, so as to avoid revealing her (not-so) secret crush… as the pages show more to her than she is keen on sharing. Things like how she sometimes wished that knight in shining armor hid a pretty, dark and brooding girl underneath… er, no! Of course not…! Oh... I really am a hopeless romantic, aren't I? Also, as a fun note, Faith loves cats!! Any kitty, any at all, will get many loves and snuggles and treats. Her own cat, Prince Pawsington, is certainly no exception. this AU isn't very fleshed out yet, but just imagining these three together, oh lord have mercy, plus, their initials spell "art", so you could call this ot3.. art3 😂

this all started when I saw a gif where someone had edited together some clips of TJ and Ransom, with TJ being Harlan's care taker, I sent it to @wotvagyok and *bam* new AU

(a gif set which I can't find again, if anyone knows what I'm talking about, send me a link please!)

oh yeah, and I haven't seen Political Animals and I don't really stick to the facts of the other canonical universes either 😅 everyone is very much ooc!

it all starts, like in the movie, when Harlan dies of an apparent suicide

this time around Ransom is suspected from the start, except--surprise--he isn't the killer

Ransom and TJ have been kinda fooling around for about as long as TJ has been working for the family

when Harlan threatened to disown Ransom if he didn't break things off with TJ, Ransom chose TJ and now they're sort of in a relationship

"sort of" because they both have ✨commitment issues✨

and Ransom's decision was also intended as a fuck you to Harlan and not because he'd suddenly started believing in true love overnight

TJ and Ransom are pretty compatible kink-wise,

they've talked about having a threesome/adding a third person into the dynamic, since TJ has a pretty big Daddy kink and Ransom does not want that type of responsibility

since Ransom is still being suspected of being involved in Harlan's death, he hires a lawyer: Mr. Andy Barber 🥰

there's some tension between them during the investigation into Harlan's death, but Andy only makes his move once it's over and Ransom has been cleared of all suspicion

Ransom says he's kind of with someone and looks over Andy's shoulder at TJ

Andy follows Ransom's gaze and chuckles a bit

"The guy that's been staring at my ass the entire time is your boyfriend?"

Ransom tries to say that's not really what they are

"Well, call him over. I think we can arrange something. Unless, you don't want--?"

Ransom calls TJ over immediately

all of this plot is just set-up to get these three together in a bed

imagine Daddy Andy, Baby TJ and idk switchy brat Ransom

(300 words in and I haven't even mentioned anyone being chubby, can't have that)

TJ is kinda soft and has put on the freshman 15 already before his freshman year is even over

he's pretty insecure about his weigth gain, he's never been particularly lean or tried to really build muscles

but he always had a pretty flat stomach and now there's a little belly that curves out over his waistband

Ransom never says anything negative, but he also doesn't say anything posititve about TJ's body either

when TJ tries to lose weight Ransom does tell him he looks fine

but they just never really talk, you know? they both just assume what the other is thinking

their first date with Andy is at his place, he cooks them dinner and he basically asks them all about how they expect this to go

Is it a one-time thing? What do they expect? For tonight? Limits, kinks, safe words, etc.

Andy has a lot more experience than Ransom and TJ, has been in a kink relationship before

ohhh used to be in a throuple with his canon wife and rival?

(idk, I'm coming up with new things just while writing this stuff down 😂)

Andy is in his thirties, Ransom is in his mid-twenties and TJ in his early twenties

that first night Andy pretty much leads TJ and Ransom the entire time, easily falls into that Daddy/Dom role

Ransom thought he was a Dom before meeting Andy, but he kind of reevaluates after that night? thinks he might enjoy subbing for Andy? would still be a brat about it though :D

they do eventually discuss feedism and feeding TJ

I'm just rambling at this point because it's not really that fleshed out yet 😅

but eventually I'm imagining a scene with Andy directing Ransom to feed TJ, his focus is completely on TJ though, praising him and encouraging him to keep going, to be a good boy and eat for him

Ransom puts up with not getting any attention for all of two seconds, Andy told him before they got started his only job is to feed TJ and he can only come after TJ does, so of course Ransom starts feeding TJ one-handed and starts touching himself, Andy warns him once

then he moves closer and reaches over to where Ransom was gripping his own dick and almost purrs

"Ransom?", his breathing gets heavier and Andy's hand replaces Ransom's and then he squeezes hard at the base of Ransom's dick,

"What did I tell you?" Andy demands,

"Feed him."

"And?"

"You don't have any self-control, puppy? Do you?"

Ransom shrinks under the petname, but he doesn't try to apologize, explain or defend himself. TJ eventually interrupts them whining that he's still hungry.

"Go fetch your cock ring, puppy. That's gonna help you control yourself, no?" Andy says and then Ransom does try to argue.

"Would you rather just watch?" asks Andy while rubbing over TJ's belly for emphasis and Ransom does what he's told.

AHSJFLSLALK OK SO UH. Wow. Clovis arc. Yiiiiiiikes ok so. I totally agree with you on the fandom divide and I also totally agree that everyone involved in it is rather OOC for my taste. That being said, that case of OOC is exactly why I personally do not like the arc that much at all.

(Please note that my following words are MY PERSONAL OPINIONS, and that anyone is free to disagree, in fact I welcome the discussion, and even if this is your favorite arc, please consider yourself welcome on my blog I hold nothing against those who might like it)

Part of me was gonna make a short and sweet point about how I don’t like that TCW has had both of its main female characters have unwanted kisses forced on them, and instead of teaching young girls watching to tell those kinds of people to fuck off and respect their bodies, we get: 1. Just let it happen, you both must kinda like each other anyway or 2. Stay still then sit back while your boyfriend beats him half to death

But actually turns out I wanted to spend all day writing an essay so now you get this. So far I’m gonna hit four points:

the show’s constant need for Vader foreshadowing sometimes tending to completely override Anakin’s current mindset and personality he should have at this point in the timeline as well as his preestablished characterization

the way TCW gave Anakin a giant dosage of toxic masculinity to try and please the pissy movie critics who didn’t like that he cried

the role of Padmé and how TCW tries to portray her as a “strong woman” by just having her constantly be irritated by and sometimes even look like she actively dislikes her husband while simultaneously have her act OOC so they can blame HER and her actions for Anakin’s reactions and anger and overall Fall

How I think this arc is not irredeemable and that with some fixes it could be done decently— decently, not well, because a lot of this arc’s problems are also due to preexisting writing choices throughout the show

(Ok whoops this turned into a half Clovis arc rant half entire TCW Anidala commentary)

So firstly I wanna start that yes, I am fully aware that TCW is meant to fill in the gaps between AOTC and ROTS and help explain why Anakin’s mindset in the final movie is what it is and justify his Fall. Of course we need to show some Vader foreshadowing throughout the series, and in some places it is executed very well, notably the Mortis arc, the Bad Batch arc, the Wrong Jedi arc, as well as others that I can’t cite off the top of my head currently because I might have a mild touch of heat exhaustion wooo I need to get off the beach.

But it also has some rather hamfisted Vader foreshadowing stuff too. Like, y’all know the fandom joke where it’s like “Anakin: *Accidentally Leaves The Toilet Seat Up*. The Background Music: *BLASTS the Imperial March*” but like, they actually really do that. Like the time where they have Anakin take out a terrorist about to blow up an entire ship full of people and then play the Imperial March afterwards and imply he’s a “cold-blooded killer” just to defend the moral purity of the two people who were gonna stand there and let the ship blow in the name of idealism.

I’m getting off topic but yeah, sometimes the show’s Vader foreshadowing makes sense, sometimes it’s pretty forced, and the Clovis arc DEFINITELY leans towards the forced side, and when they try to force more of Darth Vader into Anakin at a point where he shouldn’t quite be there yet, it screws with his entire character.

This is particularly shown in the majority of the show’s takes on Anakin’s relationship with Padmé. Namely, they tend to forget nearly the entirety of AOTC with the exception of the Tusken murder scene, then forget even more of ROTS up until the point where Anakin strangles her on Mustafar. Basically, they take the truth that it was Anakin’s unhealthy attachment to Padmé that sparked his Fall, but then they decide to run with it where almost every single interaction he has with her in the damn show is him being a toxic overbearing dick to her and her acting like she mildly tolerates him at most and definitely doesnt respect him as like, I guess a way of showing what happened on Mustafar is in character for them???? Ugh, I’ll explain further.

So with Anakin’s aggressive possessiveness towards her. We know Anakin has possession and attachment issues. We know he’s a clingy needy whiny anxious mess who’s constantly afraid of losing or driving away the few people he has pinned his entire happiness on. We know he leans unhealthily on Padmé to provide the majority of his emotional support. We know he’s convinced himself he can’t live without her. But never, NEVER is it seen in the movies where his possessiveness turns into outward aggression towards her or this douchey pushiness. Never does he treat her like his property, like she belongs to him.

Not until Mustafar.

Not until he’s raving, half out of his mind with the warring emotions over the atrocities he’s just committed, until he’s begging her to understand where he was coming from, begging her and the child to stay with him and justify his decision, until he sees Obi Wan and sees her backing away from him, leaving him, and he PANICS because oh no no no you can’t abandon me, I need you, doN’T YOU WALK AWAY FROM ME. And he lashes out and tries to force her to stay, punish her for leaving and doubting him, and he puts that hand around her throat.

And that is supposed to be when we know he’s crossed the line, when we’re supposed to be horrified, where we know he’s lost himself, because he has NEVER ACTED LIKE THAT BEFORE.

Now how does Anakin act before? In the movies? He’s deferential to Padmé in almost every other scene they’re in together.

In AOTC, yeah he stares at her a bit creepily from a distance, he says awkward things and does goofy stuff to impress her, but he does Not get in her face. The few times he does invade her space, she flat out tells him: stand back. Don’t look at me like that. Don’t say that. Don’t interrupt me. And Anakin always, always backs off, respects her wishes. He follows her lead and lets her call the shots both on Naboo when he’s supposed to be protecting her and when she organizes the Geonosis rescue and once they arrive where she flat out tells him “I’m a Senator, I’ll handle this, just back me up”, and he’s all but just “ok yes queen”.

But they aren’t married then. Fine, take ROTS. It’s a movie all about Anakin’s issues but even then, when he’s worried about Padmé dying, he tells her he’s worried and that he can’t lose her, but he still keeps a distance. He doesn’t constantly hover and loom over her. If anything, Padmé, both in ROTS and AOTC is always the one to approach Anakin and close the distance when there’s conflict. When Anakin is upset, he averts his eyes and distances himself, tries to draw in on himself and brood silently, and we’ve seen it in Palpatine sometimes (of course with bad motives but he still does), but Obi Wan and Padmé both especially needing to be the ones to come over, turn his face to them and be like “hey, look at me, I care about you, what’s wrong”. Padmé SAYS in ROTS when he’s feeling specifically conflicted about losing Padmé, “don’t shut me out” and has to come over to him because he’s retreated into a corner of the room to scowl angstily out the window. Anakin does NOT get overbearing and possessive of her or get in her face, not once in the films.

In the fucking show? The Clovis arc, while perhaps the worst offender, isn’t even close to being the first time Anakin has been overly pushy and aggressive with Padmé, or acting like she’s something he owns, From that time in the Senate Hostage ep where he’s bugging her about ditching work and all but acting like incels texting like “awww but babe my dick hurts :(”, from the FIRST Clovis disaster ep where he’s childishly trying to screw up Padmé’s mission, to the Clovis arc in season 6

And this is where they just roll right in with their “oh so Anakin’s an overbearing, entitled douche” bit with the interaction he has with Pads and he’s trying to talk her out of taking the Clovis assignment and he says something along the lines of “as your husband, I demand you don’t do this”.

Hwat. The Fuck.

What kind of caveman-esque, 1800’s-ass man of the house whom my wife must obediently serve kinda entitled-ass BULLSHIT?!?!?!?

Like, I’m sorry, I really am, but that is just completely out of left field and not like Anakin at all. I mean to the point that when he’s an evil Sith Lord trying to talk her into taking over the galaxy with him, EVEN THEN he does not include “Padmé you must join me because I’m your husband and you do as I say” sort of domineering assholerly.

Anakin does not push Padmé around. He does not TRY to assert authority over her or try and force her to do shit. Not only because she doesn’t put up with that kinda shit for a second, but because Anakin respects Padmé; he will treat her with respect. He always has, and sometimes like in this arc it really doesn’t feel like he does.

Now of course Padmé’s response to the “I own you” declaration is “fuck you, asshole, I do what I want” and doubling down on her decision, and then decides to go even harder on the mission if only to spite her douche husband (and we’ll get to Padmé’s characterization in a bit) which is a very different kind of Anidala conversation we see in the show as opposed to the movies (also discussed later).

Now, the reason for Anakin’s overbearing douchery ties directly into an overarching problem in TCW— honestly, one of the very few issues I have with this show, but the problem is that it touches nearly the entire thing —and that is they almost completely reworked Anakin’s personality to be more hyper-masculine alpha male.

This is a topic I’ve discussed on my blog before, but the gist is that in the movies, Anakin was not the typical male heroic protagonist and DEFINITELY not what people expected from Future Darth Vader The Masked Brutish Male Power Fantasy. He was awkward, he was shy, he was soft spoken, he was clumsy around the girl he liked, he was very openly romantic, he liked frolicking in fields and candlelit dinners and snuggling. Two of the most important people in his life were soft, feminine women and he openly loved them very dearly and very gently— and he deferred to them when he felt it was right, as I’ve mentioned before. He CRIED when he was upset and was messy and emotional. And fanboys hated this with a burning passion. They couldn’t project their power fantasy onto this!!!! The Anakin critics were a HUGE part of the mob who crucified the prequels to the point of chasing both Anakin actors practically out of the movie industry in general.

The Clone Wars writers were obviously petrified of this happening again. So their solution, as has always been Star Wars’s solution to hateful fans being upset about an innocent character, is to completely rework them, hide or retcon all the undesirable qualities, and act like everything was all fixed. Now don’t get me wrong, there are aspects of TCW Anakin that I adore. As I’ve also mentioned before, they got his humor, his cleverness, his eagerness to do the right thing, to help people, his relationship with Obi Wan and Ahsoka and his men, they got that all perfectly. But the rest??? TCW’s solution to the criticism of Movie!Anakin was to turn him into an agressive, dominant, violent shadow of everything “soft” he was in the movie

Now, he speaks loudly and more deeply. Now, he’s cocky and overconfident and while yes he was arrogant in the movies, now it’s dialed up to like an 11. He never cries, never even THINKS to show a negative emotion that’s not Manly Rage And Aggression(TM). And then there’s the way he is around the women in his life. No more awkwardness or shyness, now he makes jokes about being a “ladies man” and does whatever the fuck flirting he does with Miraj Scintel even though the Anakin from the movies would have needed like every scrap of his self control just to look at her without insta-murdering her face. And then there’s how he is with Ahsoka and Padmé. He is muuuuch more of a loud brash dudebro around them who pushes his weight and is kind of controlling and their solution is just to have the both of them be Strong Women(TM) who Fight Back whenever he tries it too hard with them.

With Ahsoka, it’s not too bad because it’s a brand new dynamic and she’s a rather agressive firecracker personality herself when we first meet her, so the constant Snips n’ Skyguy snipefest works for them. For Padmé? It just means that in far too many episodes they’re in there’s a point where Anakin says something Eh and Padmé gets mildly irritated to actually annoyed with him for it and she’ll talk down to him and then there’s an argument between them because he’s bullheaded and she’s a Strong Woman. Why do I consider these out of character?

In the movies, despite the flaws, Anidala is a couple who actually tries to communicate. Anakin feels open to speak about his troubles to Padmé and her to him (for the most part, she definitely has a savior complex and a tendency to squash her own shit so she can help deal with both Anakin’s and the galaxy’s at large) when they’re worried or concerned about something and they want to talk it out, so they’ll talk it out!

The problem with Anidala isn’t that they don’t communicate, it’s that they try but also only do it by halves because they hate fighting. They’ll talk, Anakin will say something that Padmé might disagree with— the fascism discussion in the Naboo field in AOTC, the question of whether the Republic is just or not in TPM —and she’ll try and correct him if she feels he’ll listen, but if he doubles down, she’ll go “ok you know what, agree to disagree, let’s not fight” and she subtly changes the subject because she hates fighting with him. If Pads says something Ani doesn’t like— telling Obi Wan about them in ROTS, some emotional advice she tries to give in both movies —he’ll flat out shut down and be like “I don’t want to talk about this, let’s drop it” and then seek out cuddles or affection as a distraction.

And that brings us back to the Clovis arc. The scene where the “as your husband” line occurs. Anakin is trying to talk Padmé out of doing this not because he’s jealous. Maybe he was jealous the first time he met Clovis and saw Padmé being all cute n’ fond with her old flame, but this time it seems almost entirely because last time ended in catastrophe and he’s genuinely worried for Padmé and feels she’s not thinking wisely, that she’s putting herself in danger.

However, Anakin is deciding to voice these concerns in Possessive Dudebro Pushing because of the aforementioned misguided Vader Foreshadowing and Toxic Masculinity. Padmé? Is not even CONSIDERING what he has to say, is just breezing on through and shutting him down at every turn and generally acting like he’s a dumbass who doesn’t have a clue about anything.

Now, it is very in character for Padmé Amidala to be all “I’m right, you’re wrong, fuck you don’t get in my way”. HOWEVER, they aren’t framing this as solely Padmé having a goal and bulldozing her way through the situation. That’s not how they frame this.

They frame this as: Padmé is embarrassed that she misjudged the situation wrong the last time and embarrassed even further that Anakin had to step in and get her out of trouble— which he brings up —and probably remembers that he made fun of her while he did it—

(Timing out to say that THAT scene was also OOC; they once more wanted a Vader parallel what with Anakin’s silhouette when he opens her cell door and the way Padmé’s sleeping pose is identical to Leia’s in ANH. But Anakin basically steps in and gives her this condescending-ass “awww the little wife’s gotten in over her head like I SAID she would, good thing I’m here to rescue her!” bit that’s really just MEAN. It’s not like him and Obi Wan’s/Ahsoka’s teasing snark whenever they have to pull each out of trouble, he’s just kicking her while she’s already down. Really, Anakin’s reaction should have been a lot less humorous and a lot more pissy; she didn’t listen to him, didn’t trust him, and ended up in danger because of it. It’d be a surly and upset “I told you so”, not an amused one.)

—and now it seems much more like Padmé is solely taking this assignment to spite Anakin for being a dick and to pettily prove that she knows what she’s doing rather than any sense or urge to do the right thing. And....... childish pettiness????? Is not Padmé. And yet, she has the entire immature “don’t tell me what to DO, Anakin” attitude this whole arc that amounts to WAY more than just the normal response she would have to his overcontrolling dickishness

And once again, it’s because she, like everyone else in the episode, seems to think the problem Anakin has is that he’s jealous of Clovis. He’s not, not really. He’s insecure, yes, but he also knows Clovis is a bag of dicks as well, and trusts that Padmé knows she’s better than that. His problem isn’t fears he’ll lose Padmé, it is entirely that Padmé isn’t listening to his concerns, doesn’t trust him, is going into a situation they both know is unwise, and he is frustrated he’s not in a position where he can look out for her since he feels she’s not looking out for herself. And, he’s not entirely wrong. Padmé IS being reckless and kind of irrational solely to prove a point. He just goes about it pretty much entirely the wrong way, which is what you can really say is the cause and effect formula for any problem Anakin Skywalker encounters and subsequently makes worse.

And then there’s That Scene. The one where Clovis tries to force a kiss on Padmé and Anakin freaks and almost kills him for it. I’ll start off by quoting another Tumblr user on that very scene by saying in regards to Clovis: “that bitch deserved that”. The almost murder? Maybe not that far, but the initial hitting for disrespecting someone’s “no”? Yep, that was deserved.

My first criticism is that Anakin shouldn’t have even had time to attack him because why the fuck wasn’t Padmé instantly kneeing him in the balls?!?! Like Padmé is not prone to violence immediately, no, but she can will and does defend herself immediately when she needs to— her right punch knocked someone tf out once when she was pissed —and she already gave him a warning that his advances were not welcomed.

Now, I am absolutely not victim blaming. I am NOT saying it is the fault of a woman (I’d be a hypocrite if I did and that’s all I’ll say on THAT), or of anyone when faced with sexual harassment, if they don’t fight back for whatever reason, no matter how capable of doing so they may be. What I’m saying is that considering her previous behavior and personality and the fact that the show NEVER goes deep enough into explaining heavy stuff like why victims might freeze or NOT fight back when faced with harassment, I feel like showing her not attempting to defend herself at all is kinda strange.

Now, Padmé’s utter passiveness to the situation aside, we’re going back into toxic masculinity and misunderstood interpretations of how Anakin displays possession. While I’ll repeat that Clovis deserved consequences for the forced kiss, Anakin going full caveman defending his property jealous rage just. Doesn’t feel right to me. Again, I think Anakin would probs hit him and put the fear of living god into him, maybe even I’d buy the attempted murder if they framed it as Anakin doing it because he hates those who force their will on others and disrespect women, but the whole that’s MY wife and you’re touching her shite just once more feels alpha male aggressive ridiculousness. Like again, I understand Anakin is possessive of Padmé, but not like this. I’m sorry, but I just cannot see that, him fighting over her like she’s a scrap of meat.

Like, I completely think she’s in the right tho to put them on a break after he does it though. That’s well within her right.

But then onto the FINAL part where after Clovis goofs and fucks them all over and then dies, she forgives him and blames herself for everything and apologizes. And like, that part I do see as in canon and character for her and for Anakin. He doesn’t like to admit his mistakes, her mistakes weigh on her and when she fails to fix or save someone, she falls into depression and upset and self-blame.

But the fact that Clovis died because Anakin dropped him? Anakin Skywalker, who scaled an entire elevator shaft carrying two people over his back who combined probs weighed more than Padmé and Clovis. Anakin Skywalker, who’s used the Force to lift tons of debris, who’s used it to hold back explosions, Anakin Skywalker, MOST POWERFUL FORCE USER IN HISTORY WHO TENDS TO RELY ON BRUTE STRENGTH FOR MOST SHIT ANYWAY. That Anakin couldn’t pull two people over a ledge?!?!?!?!? This has always bothered me.

Like to be honest; I feel this entire episode could have been so fixable too. Like keep Anakin’s obsessive worry over Padmé making a mistake, keep the best part of the arc which is his talk with Obi Wan where Obi Wan tries to connect with him and explain that he’s not alone, all Jedi have emotional struggles and have loved, if perhaps he wants to TALK to someone about it, Obi Wan is here for him, like that? That’s okay!

Just ugh ffs, get rid of the nasty Anakin treating Padmé like a naughty dog who won’t obey him and the Padmé purposely acting unwisely to spite Anakin plot. Have the entire conflict be both of them being upset that the other doesn’t trust them, doesn’t believe in their advice, keep Padmé’s speech about how marriages NEED trust and compromise to survive, take all of Anakin’s aggression towards Padmé and transfer it to aggression towards Clovis, like make the conflict him menacing the guy if he hurts Padmé again just because he’s being overprotective and “if you won’t look out for yourself I will” and Anakin getting constantly checked for not being able to control his emotions, Padmé can tell him off for being overprotective instead of overaggressive and his possessiveness can instead show through him arguing that he needs to keep her safe at all costs. THAT can be the argument.

And if they want the Vader foreshadowing? Like real, in-character Vader foreshadowing??? Tbh, drop the Clovis beatdown, drop the machoness towards Padmé, and just have Anakin blatantly DROP the douchebag at the end of the episode instead of his hand slipping. Make him choose to ACTIVELY kill Clovis. Like THAT, Anakin taking the law into his own hands and deciding that he knows best and this guy is dangerous and has fucked up one too many times, there being an opportunity where there’s an chance to save Clovis when they’re alone without Pads, “be a Jedi, Padmé wouldn’t want this, do the right thing” Clovis might say, and we can see Anakin’s face considering, and then he just “Long Live The King”s him and lets him fall and die, THAT is an in-character Vader foreshadowing.

Then at the end of the episode, we can have Anakin lie to her, say Clovis slipped, say it was too late, and Padmé can believe him, thank him for trying. Then there’s the same thing where Padmé apologizes, and we can have a callback to the convo about trust and she adds that she’s sorry that she didn’t trust him, and when she says that, we zoom in on Anakin’s guilty face.

There. That’s how I’d fix these episodes

And THERE, I think I’ve complained about everything, I am SO sorry for the gigantic ass post and response, I’ll add a read more once I’m on my laptop and not on the beach on mobile.

It does seem to be a unique thing for him, too, so I probably thought right. It's very awesome to know someone else who has a rather unique hair-color of their species! He's also been really nice to me so far and it's fun to hang out with him!

Perrine - @flusenimkopf - has helped me before with giving that karrn'k Moonshot a bit of what he deserves, even before we got to know one another! She's also not human either, and I think she doesn't know all about where she's from just like how I don't! It's just really cool to hang out with her, and I'm glad we're having some things in common! I'm also very happy to have someone that I can complain about Moonshot to and do stuff to him together with, that's really something I needed.

FOLLOWING

I may not follow because: - You’re a minor and/or under 21 and that makes me uncomfortable. I know, it sucks, it sucks hardcore when you’re not around the age of 18, but see, I’m old, I’m ancient, I’m 30 years old. I’m getting to the point now where I feel uneasy with anyone under 21, despite being past the 18 threshold. - You unfollowed. Which, by the way, you’re free to do at any time. Even if you just followed me like ten seconds ago and you decided you don’t like following me, that’s fine. - I don’t think our writing styles are compatible, or you don’t write enough for me to go off of. - YOU HAVE A THEME I CANNOT READ OR NAVIGATE ON. THREADS

I MAY DROP THREADS.

I have ADHD, and while that is not necessarily an excuse, it makes it very difficult for me to focus on a lot of threads with a lot of different people. Sometimes with certain mods, we have to keep throwing shit at a wall until it sticks. Sometimes Rick feels certain things more than others and the last thing I want to do is strain my muse or make him do things he doesn’t want to do–that’s a surefire way to kill my drive and his muse. I would rather write a thread with someone after multiple tries and we’ve both finally found one that fits. If I drop a thread with you, please know that I will more than likely try to start a new one with you at some point or at least try to compensate by sending you memes, or drop in your askbox every so often with Rick. It’s never because I don’t like you, it’s just that I would rather devote my limited free time I use for fun for things that actually are fun or push plots forward that I already have going on.

I have no time for it. I will get rid of you so fast you won’t know what hit you. We’re not kids, let’s not act like we’re in middle school again, thanks. Don’t start shit with me you’re not willing to finish–your head will fucking spin. I came out of one of the most controversial RP fandoms on tumblr in 2011-2012. I’ve seen drama hell. I’m DONE with it. I had my fill of a lifetime in that one year.

I’ve only gotten it two times in my entire 13 years on tumblr here and both people I caught. There’s a way to find out who is sending messages. SHIPPING

I love shipping. Unfortunately, being an adult now, I don’t have much time for it as I used to. At most, I can maybe juggle two or three ships. I got my full-time job, friends, dungeons and dragons, etc. If you want to ship, you gotta be willing to devote time to this ship, and there’s gotta be chemistry. Please don’t make your text super small when replying to me –I can’t read it as easily. If you forget, it’s fine, I know most of you do it out of habit. I’m okay with small text, but the 2x small text that some people do, I gotta lean in sometimes to read it.

Also cut your posts, put smut under read mores, yadda yadda, ect.

TAGGING

I try to tag my posts, but if I forget anything, I ask you to extend some courtesy to me and not yell at me. I will tag whatever you ask of me. Just don’t yell at me. No one likes being yelled at.

EXCLUSIVES/MAINS

I have to really like your interpretation for you to be my exclusive because I’m not about to let just anyone cut me off from others of the same muse. If we’re close enough OOCly and I really like what you got going on with your muse, then I will happily let you become my exclusive. Exclusivity is not easily attainable with me, because I am very critical in judgement. It’s just who I am, and I want to keep my doors open to as many people as possible.

Mains are more easily manageable, my judgement and expectations of them are less than exclusives. Again, if we know each other a pretty decent amount OOCly and I like what you got going on, I will happily call you my main.

I don’t mind writing with other C-137’s, and I’m not the type of person to get jealous or insecure. That kinda stuff just doesn’t bother me, so if you’re cool with interacting with me and you have the same Rick as me, please, by all means, stop on by. I won’t bite. Because of the infinite possibilities of Rick and Morty, I’d like to think that it means that we could arrange something or work something out if we really wanted to write our Ricks together!

This also applies to non C-137 Ricks! I was here in 2014 where no one knew what Rick and Morty was at the time so it was literally just a Rickpalooza where we only had each other because NO ONE KNEW ABOUT US BUT US. So, really, I don’t mind.

OOC About Your Character(s)

1.     What do you want to get out of playing this character(s)?

I used to RP on Tumblr a lot in the Megamind fandom, and seeing other Dark Crystal RPers on here made me want to try getting back into RP a little. Since I don’t have any Dark Crystal OCs who lend themselves well to RP, I decided to go with a canon character, and skekZok was a prominent one who hadn’t gotten a blog yet. I’ve always liked looking at characters and thinking about what makes them tick, so this gives me a fun chance to do that for him.  

2.     Describe your character(s) with three words.

Cultured | Sadistic | Hypocritical 

3.     What made you decide to write this muse?

I’d been following the blogs of a few other Skeksis RPers, and the absence of Zok had been remarked on. Since he’s one of my favorites, I decided to make a blog for him and join in the fun.

4.     If you could change one event in your muse’s life (in their main or canon verse), what would you change?

That’s a tough one, because Zok really doesn’t suffer that much in canon compared to other characters. I might stop ZokZah from trying to burn out part of his soul, but skekZok wouldn’t exist and there wouldn’t be much of a story if I did that. (If we include the JM Lee novels, I’d change it so he doesn’t throw skekSa under the bus.)

5.     If you could tell your muse one thing, what would you tell them?

“Don’t stab the blonde Gelfling girl. It won’t prevent the prophecy, and she’ll just come back to life anyway.”

6.     If you could give your muse one gift, what would you give them?

I’d love to see his reaction to a Swiss Army knife.

7.     If you had to take one positive thing away from your muse, what would you take away?

I’m not sure how positive this is, but I’d take away his ability to believe his own lies. It would be interesting to see how he tries to juggle all the conflicting rules and stories he’s come up with over the centuries. 

8.     If you could “borrow” one aspect of your muse and apply it to yourself or your own life, what would you borrow?

His talent for speaking in public. I wish I could command an audience like he does.

9.     Do you genuinely want your muse to be happy? What do you think would make them most happy in life?

Considering the kind of things that tend to make Zok happy? Maybe. As for what would make him happiest, he believes it would be achieving immortality and remaining one of the highest-ranked of the court and having skekSa as his permanent mate, but that still won’t heal the spiritual emptiness inside him. Much as I enjoy Zok and Zah as separate beings, I do think reunification was the best thing for them. If he and SaSan could have been together after that, that would have been even better.

10. Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?

I don’t mind angst in small doses, as long as I plot it out with the other player(s) beforehand and we agree how it will turn out in the end. Zok doesn’t lend himself easily to angst, but losing his place in the court hierarchy or having one of his allies turn on him would do it. He’s also come to genuinely believe the mythology he’s invented over the centuries -- anything that seriously challenged that worldview would be hard for him to deal with. 

11. What do you love about your muse?

A lot of things. His charisma, his striking blue eyes, the way his voice is deeper and smoother than most of the other Skeksis, how over-the-top his gold outfit is, how he’s so attached to his headdress that he doesn’t even take it off in the spa, how unrepentantly creepy and sadistic he is -- he’s a very enjoyable character, even if he is a horrible birb.

12. What do you hate about your muse?

He's not an easy character to have interact with everyone. He can pretend to be nice when it suits him, and he’s not totally incapable of caring about people, but he’s still nasty enough that I can tell in advance a lot of interactions wouldn’t go well. 

13. What about your muse amuses you?

The contrast between the austere image he tries to keep up, and how frazzled he gets when something upsets that image (”MY CARRIAGE!”). Also when he gets sarcastic or looks down on the others when they act in a less-than-civilized way. 

14. What about your muse makes you sad?

All the people he’s hurt, and how unwilling he is to see that his way of life isn’t sustainable and won’t truly make him happy in the end.

15. How would you describe your muse to someone about to meet them, in person, for the first time?

“This guy is a creep, but he believes in good manners. Tread lightly, and you should be okay.”

16. Would you like your muse as a person if you met them in real life?

LOL no. He’s an awful person who is best left in the realm of fiction.

17. In what ways are you better than your muse? In what ways are they better than you?

I like to think I’m a much nicer person than he is. I can be blunt and a bit of a troll sometimes, but I really don’t like hurting anyone, or trying to force people to do stuff they don’t like. As for Zok, he’s much more confident and well-spoken than I am, and he’s had the determination to stick with one job for a thousand years. 

18. Why do you think you connect to your muse?

We’re both interested in culture, myth, and history, and feel better when we can assign some order to the world around us. 

19. What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?

As I see it, the core of Zok’s character is that he wants to bring order to the world; that’s why his job title is ‘Ritual Master’ rather than ‘High Priest’ or something more overtly religious. If he can’t see an obvious reason why things are the way they are, he’ll invent one that makes sense to him (and serves his needs). 

I think this is what Zok sees as his most important trait too -- in his mind, he took a bunch of feral newborn creatures who (by all rights) were never meant to have existed in the first place, and helped turn them into a civilized, godlike people who rule an entire planet. But that feral nature is always under the surface, and they still need ritual and order (and yes, punishment) to keep it in check. 

20. Has your character(s) changed over the time that you have been playing them? How have they changed?

I haven’t been playing Zok for very long, but I’ve recently had a chance to write how he feels about deeper questions, like what it would mean for Skeksis to have children, and what happens to Skeksis and urRu souls after they die. I think it’s made him a bit more three-dimensional.

Social worker, currently working in substance abuse treatment.

Watch favorite TV shows, play video games, listen to music, hang out outdoors, chat online.

I have a big weakness for flan and other custard desserts. Also caramel.

5.     Favorite movie

Amadeus (1984).

Good Omens (and yes I loved the series too). 

7.     Favorite vacation spot

Grand Cayman. We were supposed to visit again this spring, but COVID happened.

8.     Favorite Disney movie

I’m not sure I have one favorite, but I love Fantasia and The Rescuers.

9.     How did you first get into role playing?

Almost 20 years ago, lol. When I first started going online in high school, I made an online friend ( @ksclaw ) who introduced me to the concept. We played interactions with our SWAT Kats fan characters, and she helped me get the hang of it.

10. What was your first platform? If it was something other than Tumblr, what made you get into Tumblr?

It was Livejournal. I discovered Tumblr in late 2011 after my friends in the Megamind fandom introduced me to it, and most of us migrated here from our old LJ community. I loved being able to reblog whatever struck my fancy, and while my interest has waxed and waned, as you can see I’m still here.

11. What’s a grammar rule you find yourself breaking or ignoring a lot?

I like to think I have pretty good grammar. I know I’m guilty of run-on sentences, though, and I overuse ellipses and mix up ; and -- far too much. 

12. Are there any languages besides English in which you think you could comfortably roleplay?

Not really. I can speak and understand a little Spanish and French, but not enough to write anything meaningful, and I’m wary of translation software for anything beyond a short sentence. Sorry!

13. Do you listen to music while your write?

Sometimes. Usually not when I’m doing the actual writing (that’s distracting, and I like to hear the words in my head), but I’ll listen to it beforehand to get myself in a mood or get some inspiration.

14. Are you a morning, day, evening, or night writer?

Late morning after I’ve had my coffee is usually my best time. Unfortunately I’m usually at work during that time, but on slow days and weekends I try to take advantage of it.

15. How does tiredness affect your writing?

It turns me into a zombie who can dream but cannot actually write.

16. What is your biggest obstacle to writing every day, if time doesn’t count?

Lack of motivation. I daydream and imagine stuff easily enough, but putting it down into writing is much harder, especially when I’m braindead from work.

17. How many drafts is a paralyzing amount?

More than 5 is daunting, though fortunately Zok hasn’t gotten that many yet.

18. Is there anything character-wise or writing style-wise that you can’t stand?

Players who are unwilling to have their characters be in the wrong, or who get upset if my character doesn’t react the way they wanted. Not all interactions are going to be smooth and happy, and I’m fine with that. Your character is not you, just like mine is not me.

19. What kind of anonymous questions are your favorite?

Weird ones. I like having my muses react to them.

20. What is your weakest point in writing? Angst, fluff, dialogue, etc.?

Fluff is kind of tricky. I don’t have trouble imagining it, but I get paralyzed thinking “this is too indulgent, I shouldn’t publish it, no one but me will like it, etc.” Maybe that’s part of why Zok appeals to me, because he’s not the fluffy type.

I was happy doing as Meme asked because I respect them. I respect Meme (@eludum) and never had any bad feelings for them. But apparently, they want to open old wounds. I wanted to post publicly about this for a long time, but I didn’t want to start shit. 

Now I do want to add, really quick, that I tell everyone about this once we talk ooc. I tell EVERYONE because I never got to say my side. And if my actions make people uncomfortable with me, then by all means, don’t interact with me. But don’t try to paint me as a villain because YOU both ( Sin and Meme) never actually gave a sit about why I did what I did. Sin, you love to preach about positivity and all that but you are FAKE. I should have screencapped all our convos, but I sure didn’t. Because I try to not be like that. 

komacda

This was my second blog in the fandom. I met Yoly (who rped Chiaki) and quickly befriended her. This is important. She was basically my first friend in the fandom. I was introduced to Sin through her. The three of us became friends, but Sin somehow within one of our first convos had me feeling really crappy. I ended up posting about possibly deleting my Komaeda because she went on and on and ON about canon and the anime (which I hadn’t seen at the time) and I felt like I made him too sympathetic because of how AWFUL Sin made Ko sound. Some anons convinced me to stay. I decided that I was being too sensitive. 

This happened over and over and over. Even though Sin KNEW I was writing Komahina with another Hajime, she still had to shit on people that write it. She was so condescending towards me. Interacting with her was hard because of how she made me feel stupid and not valid. I convinced myself over and over that I was overly sensitive. 

Now along with that, I had a roleplay with sin in which she totally ignored my characters actions and just monologued. She pulled a knife out of Komaeda’s hand while it had been literally stabbed into his hand on the previous reply. Which is meh. Whatever, mistakes happen. But I was afraid to approach her about it because by this time, dealing with Sin was emotionally taxing to me. Not going to say she was TOXIC or ABUSIVE. But she made me feel shitty. Anyway, the discord server. 

Sin ended up getting the role of Hajime in my discord server, in which they were telling people their headcanons were wrong for how the remnants got captured and how ‘it was all izuru’. because sin hyper focuses on canon. which is valid. but do not force others to do it. this resulted in a few members wanting me to kick sin out. I was afraid of going against Sin because they were popular so I deleted the server. 

I ended up joining a discord server from a friend because someone Sin used to be friends with was in there. I got to FINALLY explain how I felt. And I was told a lot of people feel that way. Her friend told me that Sin hated Komaeda and that’s why she had lowkey made me feel shitty. Which was a weird thing to lie about lmao. 

In this server, they had a channel that was dedicated to shit talking. I was asking who toxic people were that were listed there. I made a comment about Meme vague blogging about Yoly a BUNCH. Someone in the group screencapped it and sent it to Meme. I felt AWFUL. I wanted to apologize but got convinced not to. So yeah, I shouldn’t have done that. But I was new in the fandom and stupid. I did later apologize to Meme, who seemed to totally dismiss my apology anyway. 

This stuff all happened in quick succession with each other. So I decided to make my second blog. I made it because I was afraid of Sin and how everyone loved her. I felt like I was crazy for not.

So I made this blog and told ALL of my partners. Literally everyone knew. I told them I was hiding from Sin because she made me uncomfortable. I even continued my threads on this account. I didn’t want to trick anyone so I told everyone. The ONLY person I didn’t tell was Meme. I did follow her because I loved her Chiaki and her writing style. We wrote together, started to ship together, and became friends. Now should I have told her? YES. Probably. My issue was that I was afraid of telling her. She didn’t really know me and she sort of loved Sin. So I figured it wouldn’t be a good idea to tell her. I thought the one tiny stupid thing I did before probably didn’t even matter anymore. 

So someone ended up telling her after like 6 months of us being friends. She sent me a long message telling me not to explain myself or contact her. I deleted my blogs because I felt so guilty. I legit was worried I was actually a really bad person. I felt so incredibly bad. I still do. I still feel guilty about it. I wanted to explain myself and apologize. Me not telling her had NOTHING TO DO WITH HER and everything to do with Sin. It might sound unreasonable to be afraid on Sin, but I was. So I left the fandom and tumblr entirely for awhile. 

Sin made me incredibly uncomfortable for a bunch of reasons. I didn’t mean to lie to Meme. I wanted to tell her the truth. I never wanted to trick her. I should have handled this better. I admit that. But bringing it up after all this time is pretty pathetic? 

I should have screencapped in the group chat I was in when Sin told me and Yoly she was done with meme. And ‘she thinks she’s special because her chiaki is fat’. But I didn’t want to be like that. So i honestly don’t care who believes me. But there are two sides to this story, and one isn’t being presented. It’s probably easier for you guys to trust Sin, but it isn’t so simple. All I wanted to do was write. Back then and now, without having someone making me uncomfortable. 

I blocked Meme and Sin. I thought seeing me would make them uncomfortable. But apparently, that isn’t good enough. Apparently you guys just don’t want me here at all. I don’t have anything against Meme. I feel bad about hurting her. It’s one of the things I feel the worst about. But seriously, Sin needs to stay out of this and take a hard fucking look at themself and wonder why someone would go through all of this.

Nero

Nero is so nervous. Oh my goodness, the poor boy can’t seem to still his heart at all. He keeps feeling like he’s sweating and he just wants everything to go perfectly and his thoughts are racing and it’s really hot out, isn’t it, oh man, time is just dragging on and-

All of his anxieties are put to rest as he sees you beginning to make your way down the aisle. He takes a deep breath and he’s got the most purely joyous smile on his face. Joy doesn’t even begin to describe it, and is he crying? He might be crying.

He still can’t believe it’s happening. As he takes your hands in his, you can almost feel him shaking. He quietly tells you how happy he is and when it comes time for the vows, you can hear how he’s never wanted anything more in his life.

Dante

Dante’s been in crazy situations his whole life, yet this seems to cause his nerves to tingle. He hasn’t felt anxious about anything in such a long time, but he’s pretty sure that’s what this feeling is. Ironically, this is one of the most normal things to happen to him in his entire life.

You begin to make your way down the aisle, and it takes all of his willpower to not say “holy shit” about how stunning you look. He ends up saying it under his breath anyway. He looks absolutely astonished, and then he changes to his usual smirk, but you can tell he’s trying to cover up how nervous he is.

You can also tell how happy he is in this moment, even though his nerves are there. It’s mostly because he doesn’t want anything to make this moment end, and he’s been a magnet for disaster. But he vows to ensure that nothing will take you from him, as long as he’s capable.

V

V is prone to anxiety about a lot of situations, but strangely enough, this is something that doesn’t cause him any sort of nervousness. He’s so confident about everything that’s led him to this moment, and everything that will come after. He’s prepared himself for this.

He sees you, and he’s breathless. You’ve exceeded his expectations on how wonderful anyone can ever look. You’re absolutely marvelous, and he commits this to memory. You look happy, and it only completes your look. V himself feels his heart swell even more, and he didn’t even think that was possible with how happy he is.

V almost starts tearing up, and he doesn’t even notice it. He’s so, so filled with love and happiness that he doesn’t really know how to handle it. When he holds your hands, his hands are so warm and gentle, as though you can feel how much love he holds in his heart for you. He’ll take wonderful care of you, and you will do the same for him.

The leaks have me worried ngl. I assumed everything in the trailer was after the reveal. Sam being mad at Dany? The Jon and Sansa conversation about why he bent the knee and mentioning love and he doesn't answer? Thoughts?

SPOILERS AHEAD. I TAGGED THIS WITH LITERALLY EVERYTHING I COULD THINK OF SO I’M NOT PUTTING A CUT. DON’T BITCH IF YOU HAVEN’T BLOCKED.

Okay I’m a bit late to the game and I neither watched the video Friki posted before it was taken down...twice...nor do I speak Spanish anyway so all of my information is third-hand.

So @adecila​ posted THIS outline of the video and @bendthekneejon​ posted THIS clarification.

I next went to THIS post on FreeFolk and while the initial post is a bit lacking in detail, a comment further down on the post is much more interesting. Hopefully either @adecila or @bendthekneejon can confirm?

The way everything I’ve seen reads is that this is one episode and this is how it all goes down in this specific order. BUT, according to this commenter, Friki says some of the details are not Episode 1. So anyone who watched the video, did Friki really say this? Because I feel like a lot of the details from his video could be misconstrued if they are not from Episode 1 - as we’ve clearly seen in the Jonsa tag recently (anon, you’ve been peaking at their tag, haven’t you?).

Also, the leaks a little bit don’t make sense in the order I’ve seen them in because most have Jon/Arya reunion AFTER the meeting with the Norther Lords...??? And the time of the Bran reunion is never stated. Because of this, I’m inclined to believe this is not the true order of the episode and that some of this stuff may, in fact, be from Eps 2 or 3. Also, Dany wanting Jon to ride Rhaegal before finding out he’s a Targaryen...just seems a little OOC for both Jon and Dany. Plus, “hey cheer up ride a dragon” seems like it would be great for after the reveal instead.

But anyway, regardless of whether this all happens in Episode 1 or not, this isn’t anything I hadn’t expected or haven’t already posted about (seriously, the Jonsas accusing us of trying to explain away the trailer is so annoying because I’ve literally spoken on all of these issues). It’s the drama we all knew was coming.

1) I’m glad Dany is the one to go to Sam about the deaths of his family rather than him confronting her about it. It makes a lot of sense that it goes down that way and that Jorah is there when she tells him.

2) Sam going immediately to Jon after this could either be because he has decided he doesn’t like Dany or because he is just anxious to tell Jon the truth. Either way, I don’t see how it matters much, especially if it’s Episode 1.

3) Jon’s reaction is pretty Jon. To me his “I bent the knee, she gives the orders” or whatever, is just the way he talks. Kind of like in 5x08 Hardhome where the FF ask him how Mance Rayder died and he says “I put an arrow through his heart.” Like, come on Jon! He could give more context - how she saved him, how she had already pledged to him when he bent the knee, etc. But he doesn’t because he’s “not a bleeding poet.”

That Sam is upset will make Jon broody, that the woman he fell in love with did it will make Jon broody. And that Sam is insisting that Jon should be King of the Seven Kingdoms when he has never wanted that position in the first place will also make him broody, along with, you know, the fact that he has just learned his “dad” lied to him all his life. I think it’s interesting one of the posts, Sam says Dany doesn’t “have to” be Queen but that Jon “has to” be King. I’m not sure if the “has to” is a direct quote from the show or not. But if Sam does say Jon “has to” be King, it would make sense and goes with his line from 7x07 “Jon’s the one to lead the fight against the dead, I know he is.” Of course Sam would want Jon to press his claim - he’s the reason Jon was elected to LC and Bran stated (I’m assuming he was talking to Sam during the V.O.) “He’s the heir to the Iron Throne.”

4) One thing I find interesting is all three links I’ve read that mention the Jon/Sam scene come off as totally different. Not sure if OPs intended it this way or if Friki was just unclear but...I don’t know where the scene cuts off...? Can anyone give more insight to this?

Because one post seems to have it end right after Sam says “Yo, Lyanna’s your mom, Rhaegar’s your dad.”

Another seems to have it end after Jon and Sam actually have a full conversation about RLJ with Jon claiming Ned would never, blah blah blah, did it to protect him whatever whatever.

So I really don’t know. It would clearly be dramatic if the scene cut off right after Sam says the reveal. “Ned’s not your dad” End of Scene. But it would also be interesting to see the aftermath of this. Perhaps the scene is split? Perhaps the other half of the scene is the next episode? It’s really unclear as are all things with leaks.

BUT

One thing I have yet to see Jonsas talk about (queue post after post after the Jonsas who read my blog see this and try to explain it away with Political!Jon, Political!Arya shenanigans) is the conversation between Jon and Arya about Sansa and Dany!!!!

LITERALLY none of them have spoken about it and that’s telling anon. That they leave out this crucial piece of information while they’re trying (and failing) to shit all over us because they know it disproves all their theories:

Jon asks Arya to help him make Sansa and Dany get along.

This is important for 2 reasons:

1) It tells us that Jon trusts Arya A LOT because rather than confront Sansa himself about her obvious dislike of Dany, or you know, revealing Political!Jon to Sansa “Hey, I know you don’t like Dany, it’s okay, I hate her too, just pretend and then afterward we’ll fuck”...rather than all of THAT going down, Jon enlists Arya’s help to smooth things over with Sansa. NOW WHY WOULD HE DO THAT IF HE’S PLAYING DANY AND LOVES SANSA???

2) This is more speculation but I think it’s a pretty logical conclusion given the above...Arya already likes Dany. Why do I think this? Because if Jon needed to convince Arya, why would he enlist her to help him then convince Sansa? So that he asks for Arya’s help, tells us that Arya’s probably pretty on board with Team Dany so she would be the logical person Jon would turn to for this task. If she hated Dany, she wouldn’t be of any help to him in this.

Of the entire episode complete with passionate kisses, dragon riding, open flirtation that Davos, Varys, and Tyrion talk about, Jon defending Dany to the NLs...the Arya thing is the nail in the coffin.

I write female muses because it is simply easier for me to put myshoes in the shoes of a female muse. For obvious reasons I should hope. However,I have written with a male oc in the past. I think exclusivity iscompletely up to those who choose to practice it. I only practice it on whetherI am comfortable. Very few people can make me feel uncomfortable- but my guthas yet to fail me in this. I will not RP with anyone who makes meuncomfortable or if they are just looking for ERP. I’m not about it.

I have not had a bad experiencewith commissions. I really need to seek out one.

In this community, I have onlybeen involved in one instance. It was during my first few months joining FFXIV,super early on. A RPer tried to guilt trip me for not responding to them forone day. One day caused a lot of drama from someone else’s greed and possessivenature.

I don’t regret it. It just demonstrated another example for me to be wary of everyone’s intentions. Unfortunately. It isthat split-second decision that you want to think the best in everyone that brings the failure. Oops.

13.   Have you everthought about leaving rp? What caused it? What changed your mind?

I probably considered leavingRP when I was leaving a forum base that I had invested eleven or so years of mylife into. I had grown so much through it and watched as it died out bit by bitonly for trolls to really remain. None of the inspiration was there and noone truly seemed passionate about anything but bars. Taverns. 

I changed my mind when I joinedFFXIV. At first I played the game because it was something to do. I wasbored and things were dying down for me. I have loved the FF series for such along time, so I thought, why not? Screw the pay wall. I just played through AtRealm Reborn and focused that down in a binge. Over time I got the itch Iwanted to write, and that had propelled me right into the RP crew in Siren.Then that branched onto the Tumblr. Creating my blog has led me to meet such wonderful people along the way. 

14.   Do you think rphas had a positive or negative affect on your life or you as a person?

Positive for sure. RP helped meduring the years I was unsure who I wanted to be, what I wanted to express, andhelped me communicate more when I said so little. I was so much moreintroverted, and the writing RP brought was so uplifting.

The character, Haine, I madeyears ago is a force in my life that influenced my traits as a role model. She’llalways have a special place in my heart.

Without finding RP as anoutlet, I don’t think I would have been ready to embrace what I could be.Things could have been far worse in my life, and I like to think some of thetraits I had crafted Haine to be throughout the years helped me remain true towho I should be rather than what everyone wanted me to be- or knock me down tobe.

I don’t think I want to changeanything- I would just want to encourage others to write and express themselvesmore in their outlets. Which can be writing, drawing, aesthetics. You do you.The passion is my favorite thing to see in others.

Yes. I’ve had the alias Hainefor over ten years. I carried that name from my old RP community and thisperson that I used to call a good friend disappeared. She came back under a newname, and then I went on a hiatus. I come back, she’s going as the name “Haine.”She pretended she was just an anonymous person and not the friend I always knewbut playing stupid never was her skill.

I was… indifferent at first.Yet, it felt like a part of me was being violated. I knew her. It hurt. I hadmade Haine as this love child of my creativity. I tried to be reasonable butthen this person began to start discourse so it would go. “Did Haine do this?” “Whydid Haine do that?” It was confusing to always say “It was the other one.” Whenoften duplicate alias’ were not typical.

It was upsetting to say theleast, and after a while, as above it as I like to be- I started getting prettyangry. It was never pretty. I can regret a bit of it.

25.   Are you open toduplicates? Why / why not?

As in duplicates acrossservers? I do that! I had stared on Siren originally before I made a characteron Balmung before world visit opened up. I think duplicates are helpful in caseyou want to keep your strong attachments in both data centers.

Vague… posting?

27.   Do you followpeople even if they don’t follow you back?

Of course! Someone I followdoes not have to follow me back. I love their content and I want to stay tuned!That is the entire point! If they follow back, it is just equally delighting.

If they have rules, yes. Ithink it is very important to have OOC communication to express what you willallow or what you find inappropriate.

I don’t follow tumblr trends enough toknow?

OH! I think I did this once. Beingnew on Tumblr awhile back, I did not understand a lot of things. So some of theterms was lost on me. I think I remember asking what on earth a “mun” was. Itwas lost on me.

Yeah.

33.   How do you feelabout personal blogs following your rp blog?

The more the merrier! I thinkthat makes it more flattering to see. It makes me think that something on myblog had to be nice for someone to want to keep up on their personal blog.

Oh go- Yes. Recently. The plot lines that make me feel things are the best kind. Happy, excited, nervous, bittersweet, thrilled. I love it. 

35.   Do you readother people’s threads or do you only read your own?

I read other people’s threads,and my own. I read mine several times because I figure it can be better. I love reading thewriting of others.

36.   What’s onething that other people seem to hate that doesn’t bother you? Taken.

I don’t feel anything for themor tag them.

38.   What advicewould you give to someone new to rp?

 Embrace what you want to be and do not divert from what youare comfortable with. Feel free to go to public places and watch others work.If I know the person who is new to RP I would usually offer to be their partnerto get them into the cadence.

THREAD TRACKING, DMS/ASKS & CONSIDERATE ROLEPLAYING

Hey kiddlies! 

So, I wanted to take this time to address a couple of small things that have been brought to my attention lately. As all of you know, here at the Colony we pride ourselves on our exceptional inclusivity, friendliness and sense of community support. When new members who join the family stay and feel a part of the team, it is thanks to how much we, as an entire unit, prioritize making sure new members know just how enthused we are to have them here, as well as reaching out to help engage them into our ongoing plots and into the verse. 

As an extensive worldbuilding RP with many long-term members, we know that it can be intimidating to get started when you’re new to the verse, so this is a huge factor in why we are still successful today and how we continue to grow and evolve as a unified, loving community. You are also all aware of the kinds of attitudes we don’t condone here, and can sometimes be rampant in the RPC. We believe that the key to forming a unified, safe and long-lasting roleplay is by prioritizing what I sometimes call the ‘rule of the three Cs’: collaboration, communication, and consideration.

Consideration is a big one. Because I can not tell you the amount of RPs I have joined and been disappointed by by the sheer self-involved mentality of individual members—or the amount of times I’ve heard horror stories from all of you. Yes, roleplay is meant to be fun, it is a pastime—but because group RPs are, by nature, an activity of collaboration, they literally only work when you can consider the perspectives, feelings and positions of everyone in it with you. Like a true team. I know... most of you are probably not sports players (lol) but if you can imagine being on a basketball team where no one considered every teammate equally, and put their own egos aside to play as a team, well—they would never win anything. Ever. Also, (and possibly more importantly, because nothing in RP is a competition or about ‘wining’): they would never have any fun.

Now, I’m bringing all this up, not because anyone has done anything wrong or against these practices, but because I want you all to understand why I believe this RP stands out the way it does, why we continue to foster and grow, and why I take the team-player aspect and consideration of others so seriously. Because it is literally the foundation on which this unique community is built on. We are very aware of how problematically inconsiderate so many RPs can be, and how disheartening it is to feel like you are being ignored or excluded, or like people are not interested in writing with you.

SOME CONCERNS & PLATFORM ISSUES

So, with all that said, I’m sure you will all understand why I take any complaints about lack of communication or feeling left out very seriously. Fortunately, we hear almost exclusively positive feedback in terms of communication and members feeling not just included, but all around adored and supported. We could not be prouder of each and every one of you for making this RP the safe place that it is. However, with recent issues and glitches with the tumblr platform certainly not helping matters, there have been a couple of patterns flagged recently and brought to Mod attention, involving the dropping of threads and lack of replying to DMs or asks. 

Now, I do know that this is probably mostly due to the activity notification thing shitting the bed (thanks tumblr), as well as the unreliability (is that a word?) of notifications for DMs and Asks. However, I’m going to address it anyway, mention a few tips that may help us work around the platform’s glitches, and also just be more personally mindful and responsible. 

So, being mindful to check your replies, your messages, your threads—it’s all part of being a considerate and responsible RPer, and someone who is able to function in a team environment. And it’s so, so important to remember that being considerate of others is not a single-lane highway. It doesn’t only apply to not dropping threads and replying to messages—it also applies to being allowed to drop threads if you need to, to being met with understanding if you are feeling overwhelmed, or have fallen behind or lost muse, etc. This is important because we do not want anyone to be afraid to say anything to help themselves because they are too concerned about hurting someone’s feelings. In fact, the most mature and polite thing to do, and the kind of conduct we expect from each and every one of you, is that you treat people with the same respect and understanding you would want to be treated with. And that includes patience, as much as it does communication and consideration. 

Again, I really want to stress how unbelievably proud I am of this community and of everything that you all do to take care of each other. There isn’t a single person here who I think would ever intentionally ignore someone or drop threads or be inconsiderate and I literally have never been in another RP that has felt as kind and warm as you people make this place. So seriously, thank you so much. 

But I’m sure that it also makes sense to you why I absolutely will not tolerate behaviour that is exclusive or inconsiderate of others under any circumstances. If I’m hearing that people’s messages are getting ignored consistently, or that people are skipping or dropping threads consistently without contacting the people they are RPing with about it, then I have cause for concern. 

Fortunately, I know the lot of you well enough that I trust that these few circumstances that have arisen are likely thanks to inconsistent tumblr notifications, at best, and at worst, simple absent mindedness we are all guilty of from time to time! 

So without further adieu... 

THREAD TRACKING TIPS AND TRICKS! WEE!!

So, in terms of threads—if you know you are losing track of things, just be mindful to keep an open dialogue with your fellow RPers, and do not just rely on the notification panel in tumblr. (Dear God, please don’t, it’s the actual worst). A good trick I find useful is to check out your own character blog (or character-exclusive posts but on the dash, if you know what i’m referring to, I never know how to explain that, haha)—take the ten extra seconds to remind yourself who you’ve been RPing with the past couple of weeks, because that’s often how I find accidentally missed threads. This kind of thinking and mindfulness just makes it easier to keep up with things. And remember! Everyone misses stuff sometimes! It happens to the best of us (including your ol’ Papa!Mod) so when it does happen, just be proactive and reach out to whoever you’re RPing with. Or, if it happens to you, don’t be afraid to connect with your fellow RPer and touch base about a thread’s status. 

I have also heard really good things about Rp Thread Tracker, which I know some of you use already. Now, some of you may be worried that it will be too complicated or too much of a hassle to set up, and so you avoid it, (which has been the case/reasoning with myself) but I’ve been assured by several people that although they had the same concerns, the set up is super easy, only takes a few minutes, and is kind of a life safer. It also is actually possible to track multiple threads based off one open starter—once you get the replies it’s just a matter of setting it up to be tracked. 

So, you can find that tool here, if you are interested in using it. But you can also check out this tutorial if you want to get an idea of how it works, or help setting it up for yourself! Of course, this is not by any means mandatory, but it is a really good option for people who might be interested, and something I think a lot of you might want to consider if you have a hard time tracking! 

I think one of the great things about this community is there has never had to be a.... hard rule about replying to threads in order or anything like that. Partly because a) that’s kind of impossible to manage and guarantee and b) we do want to be flexible for muse and time and all kinds of things like that! After all, writing and creativity is not a hard science! But one thing members here have always done really really well, is just being naturally considerate of your RP partners, giving them a head’s up if you’re needing more time to figure out how to reply to their thread, and doing your best to not skip threads consistently. (Skipping threads on a consistent basis in favour of only replying to a select few characters would constitute as bubble RPing, but fortunately, that has never been a problem here.) 

However, we always want to avoid making anyone feel ignored or hurt, by skipping their replies—so please, if you are struggling with muse for certain threads, do not be afraid to be honest with your RP partner about it. They will understand and will feel much better knowing it’s not something personal, or something they did, or like you simply aren’t interested in writing with them. As a member of Colony 22, we will hold you to your ability to be mature and considerate of others. It is by far one of our most important requirements. And since I know you are all the nicest, sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of writing with, I want all of you to pay close attention to occasions or habits that have the potential of being misconstrued as hurtful or negligent. 

DMS AND ASKS: OOC COMMUNICATION

So this is all pretty self explanatory, and verging on repetitive as much of what’s been covered above applies here as well. And just to be even more repetitive (because it’s a thing I do super well apparently), I am so unbelievably impressed with everyone’s attitudes and contribution here, so my bringing this up is more in the interest of calling attention to habits that may have formed that could be interpreted as hurtful by other members, even if that is not the intention!

So, if tumblr notifications with DMs are letting you down, or you know you’re likely liable to forget to reply to things if you see them on your phone, try to be mindful of checking things like that next time you log in. Take responsibility to check messages you might have missed, or forgotten to reply to when you were out and about and busy with life as we know it.

Now, this is coming from a person who can’t stand phone notifications. If you message me while I’m busy or on my phone, I probably will not reply to you because ~anxiety~. And hey, so many of us have it, so we all get it, you know? So not to worry. But that just means that the considerate thing to do in return of being treated with compassion and understanding by others, is to make sure to double check those things when we do have time. Make sure we aren’t leaving anyone hanging. Because another thing I absolutely will not tolerate in this RP is people ignoring messages about threads or plotting requests etc. Just do not do it. This community is your team, your family. This community is my family too, and as a moderator (and Papa!) I am very protective of each and every one of you and your comfort and happiness is of the utmost importance to both Lottie and I. 

So if you know you are likely a bit flakey when it comes to responding to messages (it’s okay! it happens!), please take care to amend that. To do what you can to make up for it when you log in at a more convenient time. Get back to people. Do not ignore people. And if you do feel like you are overwhelmed and you need to drop some older threads or anything like that, this is a safe place to do that! You will have moderator support and community support. We have all been there, so there is no need to be worried or afraid of being judged or letting anyone down. It is not that kind of community! So if that happens, and someone is asking about an older thread, please try to feel comfortable being honest with them, and asking for what you need, be it extra time, or to drop it in the interest of focusing on new future things :) 

And, if you don’t feel comfortable, for any reason, please know that Lottie and I are here to support you! We have had some of our lovely children come to us before feeling nervous or worried about threads getting backed up or falling behind or lack of muse due to extreme anxiety when looking at their drafts.... and we have always helped them through it! There is a solution, we promise you, and we know that sometimes it just takes a little reminder that yes, it is okay to let things go and that you have literally every person’s support here. No matter what you’re going through, we are here for you; as a mods, and as a community, we will do whatever we can to assist in easing some of your stresses and and getting back to the basics of why you enjoy RP in the first place! 

Basically, there is never any excuse to ignore anyone. Be honest, and be mindful, and if you have any trouble, whatever the cause or kind, come to the mods—either individually or to the main, whatever makes you most comfortable. But if I hear of anyone consistently ignoring anyone’s messages it is something I will take seriously as that is not at all being a team player, and I will be forced to have to ask for names and address the issue with that person directly. And no one here wants to call anyone out or throw anyone under the bus or make anyone feel bad, because at the end of day, we all love each other very much—so I’m sure it’s in everyone’s best interest if I don’t have to do that.
